Team Seattle Races in France!  Team Seattle successfully raced in the Le Mans Classic historic race this month. In doing so they accomplished a number of objectives, all in preparation for competing in the 2009 Le Mans 24 Hour Race.  Read the Press Release...

Troop 499 Scouts Completed a Successful Week at Camp!
Activities included Outposts/Expeditions, and Wilderness Survival at which you essentially take no gear and have to construct your own shelter. 2 teams participated in the Race for Washkanaba; 1st year scouts, Jacob Todderude and Parker Trewet successfully swam the length of the lake! For the 1st time the scouts had a "boat" in the Great White Newt Regatta and covered about 30 feet before an unfortunate malfunction launched the barrels and sent their proud craft to the deep dark abyss!! The troop completed two service projects in the campsite - a permanent fenced Firewood/ Axe yard and a rebuilt fence by the Kybo.  7 Scoutmaster Conferences & Boards of Review passed.  Scouts completed close to 90 Merit Badges at camp!!!! - Every scout finished at least 1 Merit Badge; 22 scouts finished at least 2; 15 scouts finished at least 3; 8 scouts finished at least 4; and 2 scouts finished 5!
