Thank you to the Trails at Newcastle team that presented at our July meeting. The housing community will be a great addition to our city.

Please join us at our August 11 lunch. Our speaker will be Glenn Froehlich with Knowledge Matters. Glenn will discuss changes in small business marketing with an emphasis on social media marketing. Glenn brings a lot of knowledge and energy to the topic.

Please note below our upcoming mini golf event, the evening of August 25th. It was a blast last year and we are looking forward to the same this year. Thank you very much to the Golf Club at Newcastle for assisting with this. Non-members and all ages are also welcome to participate.

Join Us for Lunch - August 11th, 2010
Join us for lunch at Tapatio's.  Our guest speaker will be Glenn Froehlich with Knowledge Matters.  The topic will be changes in small business marketing and social media marketing.
 
Karen Pike of Arbonne International will be providing the door prize this month.

Mark your calendars for future lunch meetings:  September 8th and October 13th. Unless otherwise noted, all Lunch meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 11:00am - 12:15pm at Tapatio Mexican Grill in Newcastle.  Cost is $20 per person which is collected on arrival and includes program, lunch, beverage, tax and gratuity. Check our Calendar on the Chamber Website for updates and further details.  All of our meetings are open to the public!

At Lake Boren Park. Sponsored by Coal Creek Family YMCA.  There are 3 concerts remaining: 
 * Wed. July 28th - "About Face" classic rock
 * Wed. August 4th - "Die Cast Players" - soft blues/classic rock
 * Wed. August 11th - "Y Teen Dance at Lake Boren" featuring several local bands
August 25th - Mini Golf at the Golf Club at Newcastle!
Join fellow chamber members at 5:30 for an after hours event at The Rusty Putter at the Golf Club at Newcastle. Cost is $10 per person and includes a round of mini-golf, light appetizers and prizes. Non-members and all ages are welcome! 
August 28th - Newcastle 5K Run/Walk
Registration for the 2nd Annual Newcastle 5K Run/Walk presented by Valley Medical Center is now open. The event starts and finishes in Lake Boren Park. Sign-ups are available at www.active.com or in-store at The Balanced Athlete in the Renton Landing. Newcastle Days September 10th & 11th!
Sponsored by Valley Medical and organized by many volunteers! This year Newcastle Days will begin with a Kick-Off Sidewalk Sale event where participating businesses will be offering specials from 3pm to 7pm on Friday, September 10, 2010.  See www.newcastledays.com for details!
